Accounting Supervisor

Reid & Miller Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. is an accounting firm that provides full cycle accounting, compilation, reviews, audits, T2, T1, and consulting services in Winnipeg. We have a diverse client group from small home-based businesses to large private enterprises, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations.
What you will do

• Preparation of review and compilation engagement files
• Ensuring timelines are met, other tax filings
• Full cycle accounting; recording of sales, expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
• Maintain, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Provide client communication in a clear and concise manner
• Preparation of corporate tax returns
• Perform analysis of complex accounting issues
• Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks

What you bring to the role

• Must have Post secondary education
• Must have one year work experience
• Experience preparing financial statements including notes
• Strong written and verbal communications
• Knowledge of accounting standards
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Able to pay close attention to details
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software
• Demonstrate an ability to multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Able to work as a team and individually
• Interpersonal skills
• Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients’ business and maintain strong client relationships
• Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professional in the performance of duties
• Positive attitude, self starter
