Reports To: Team Leader

The FAP (Federal Administered Programs) Unit, specializes in the payment of Federal benefits related to health needs such as Ambulances Services, Medical Supplies, Hospital Beds, etc. As a member of the Federal Claims team the incumbent will adjudicate claims received from Providers and clients and, if necessary, will communicate with service providers to clarify information.

This role is Monday – Friday, flexible start time with the option to work in the office in Moncton, NB OR a Hybrid in office/ Work from home OR Remote within Atlantic Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, investigate and authorize payment of health and dental claims within set guidelines
  • Correspond with Providers and/or customers when required
  • Handle and process claims transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Use business knowledge and experience to solve routine problems, with the support of senior staff
  • Produce clear and effective written materials.

Education: Post-secondary education in a related field.

Work Experience: Minimum 6 months work experience in an office environment.

Other Qualifications: Knowledge of claims processing, eligibility and claims systems, as well as medical terminology is considered an asset.

Computer Skills: Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes.

Language Skills: Are proficient in English, being bilingual is a strong asset
