EMPHASIS:
Provide supervision and direction for front of house staff, coordinate and prepare financial reports for the President and Board of Directors, handle financial duties in-house, and oversee payroll & human resource functions.

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO:
President of Lutheran Braille Workers

PRINCIPAL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.
Supervise headquarters staff and ensure they are fulfilling job duties and functions and meeting work goals; working with staff to create annual goals for their positions.
2.
Handle in-house financial duties including Accounts Payable/Receivable, billing, and other duties and serve as liaison to current accounting firm and audit firm.
3.
Enter information into Quickbooks Online and use this software to provide financial reports for the President and Board of Directors on a monthly/quarterly/annual/as-needed basis.
4.
Oversee human resources functions for Lutheran Braille Workers.
5.
Enter donor gifts into donor management software, ensure receipts and thank-you letters are immediately prepared and sent, and handle end of year tax receipts for donors. Maintain donor estate records and provide follow-up when gifts are not received.
6. Process all documents and records from county, state, or federal sources as needed.

ADDITIONAL

DUTIES:

There are a number of tasks within or outside the department that the employee will be expected to perform including but not limited to: answering the telephone; working on team projects such as mailings; delivering of supplies to ministry centers and post office; working conventions or servant events, overnight or weekend travel will be occasionally required throughout the year.

MINIMUM

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must bea Christian with a passion for ministry, sharing the Gospel, and serving the community of people who are Blind or Visually Impaired.

Must have7 to 10 years of financial and office management experience with a Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge in Microsoft Suite Software.

Must haveat least 7 years experience with Quickbooks or Quickbooks Online. Have the ability to communicate verbally with donors, volunteers, churches, and other organizations in a positive, professional manner required!

Must beable to provide leadership for staff, set goals, and celebrate success.

Must beable to write in a mature and professional manner.

Must beorganized and have the ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Able towork independently and be a self-starter.

Must beable to lift up to 50 lbs.
