Human Resources Business Partner Job at World Education Services – 3.6 New York, NY

Reporting into the Senior Director of HR, with a matrix reporting the COO, the HR Business Partner will work closely with management and employees within the following business units, Office of COO, Operations & Knowledge, IT, Marketing & EPMO. The HRBP also will partner closely with your HR colleagues and other stakeholders from across the business to bring the right resources and expertise to bear. The focus of this role is to lead and execute key strategic HR initiatives for the business and the various HR programs. This role will manage and be supported by an HR Generalist.

Duties included but not limited to:
Strategic:
Build and maintain a valued advisor relationship with management & leadership and deliver HR solutions that effectively address business issues and needs.

Provide strategic guidance and input on workforce planning, succession planning, promotions, lateral transfers, and re-leveling.

Build strong relationships with employees, management, and the leadership team.

Leverage workforce analytics to identify and solve business issues.

Proactively assess team and manager development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions.

Collaborate with and leverage HR team and cross-functional teams to ensure the business unit’s organizational needs are met; provide insight and input to help inform the approach, priority focus and strategies.

Consult on change efforts, ensuring change management utilization, and prioritize/develop organizational effectiveness interventions.

Culture champion promoting company values and a DE&I lens to guide decision-making and drive thoughtful and effective priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Mentor and coach managers within the client group.

Enhance communication with employees through company-wide channels to build trust and enhance transparency.

Collaborate with the broader HR team HR functional areas where alignment is possible (i.e. employee engagement, training and development, organizational development/design and any related change management strategies and initiatives)

Collaborate with Canadian HRBP to comply with Ontario regulations for Canadian staff in client groups.

Tactical:
Customer Service: Provide information and facilitate employees’ ability to obtain information about benefits, compensation, training and other HR programs and services.

Support WES’ diverse employee population: manage work authorizations as needed.

Partner with HR recruitment team to ensure that capacity planning needs are properly communicated and prioritized into recruitment efforts to help achieve a high-quality and diverse talent pipeline.

Participate in the selection process of employees.

Support the implementation of programs and processes with the business unit, including performance management, compensation, benefits and open enrollment, engagement, learning and development programs.

Support and drive the performance management process for the business unit, ensuring successful participation and delivery.

Manage onboarding presentations.

Determine development needs and partner with L&D Manager to execute trainings.

Monitor the pulse of the business unit; review engagement survey analytics and make appropriate recommendations in partnership with the Associate Director of HR of Talent Strategy.

Provide guidance to managers and partners on performance management, productivity, dispute resolution, disciplinary action, including PIPs, regulatory compliance, problem-solving and litigation avoidance.

Ensure compliance with company regulations and manage ER activities when they arise.

Ensure successful execution of company policies.

Oversee all Day-to-Day Operational Needs for these groups.

Collaborate cross-functionally to drive HR solutions and programs.

Provide Mentorship for and develop the HR Generalist.

Experience working with all levels of an organization, including exec level leadership.

Ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and changing the direction of projects and strategies.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or other related fields, or the equivalent in professional HR experience.

A minimum of 7 years of related HR experience with 1-2 years as a business partner or HR manager with strong proactive consulting capability and work experience.

Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including immigration, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws, compensation practices, benefits administration, organizational diagnosis, and diversity.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook and HCM Systems (UKG a plus)
