The Opportunity
We have a full-time, one year term position available for an enthusiastic and energetic Information
Technology Manager to work with our great team at CMHA.

The Position
This role will provide IT guidance, support, and training across all CMHA’s services and programs, projects, and initiatives, including supporting the ongoing coordination and enhancement of the CMHA electronic client records database platform.

The Responsibilities

  • Electronic Client Records Database—Caseworks

Supporting agency-wide data tracking, retrieval, and reporting
Liaising and coordinating with database vendor and other external partners
Supporting, training, and guidance for managers, administrative staff, and direct service staff
Development, implementation, and reporting of required internal and external reports
Coordinating data for the purpose of evaluation, both internal efforts and in partnership with funders and external contractors
Recommendations to improve database platform

  • IT onboarding, training and support to teams and staff as required
  • Liaising with computer/network external contractor in the provision of computers, peripherals, printers, network troubleshooting/maintenance, and installation of new equipment
  • Maintain and update equipment inventories
  • Running regular checks on network and data security
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
  • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization
  • Conducting regular system audits
  • Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages
  • Website maintenance and technical support
  • Assessing computer, network, and other IT requirements in a multi-location environment
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year IT refresh plan
  • In consultation with CMHA leadership and staff, research and recommend new technology and equipment purchases
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Contribute to agency-wide initiatives to advance the mission and ends of the organization

The Qualifications

  • This position requires, at minimum, a completed post-secondary information technology degree
  • Minimum of three years’ experience providing IT support services for a medium or large sized organization
  • Experience in data reporting, database development and compilation–strong knowledge of SQL
  • Capable of managing and coordinating projects within established timelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, both internally and externally
  • Applicants must have both a recent satisfactory criminal record check and a child abuse registry check, along with a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
