Step Up Consulting is looking for a Non-Profit Events Associate to start in our fundraising and marketing team.
Responsibilities
•Become well-versed in what our charitable partners’ mission to effectively communicate to potential donors
•Attend fundraising events and be able to speak in front of both large and small groups
•Build relationships with members of the local community
•Accept donations from donors on behalf of our non-profit partners and ensure that each donation is notated properly
•Learn from experienced team members and demonstrate a student mentality
•Assist in setting up and breaking down fundraising events
•Attend daily team meetings where initiatives and goals are discussed
Qualifications
•The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys a team environment, has a sportsmanship mentality, an impeccable work ethic, and strives to exceed goals
•Strong interpersonal skills
•A polite, friendly and diplomatic manner
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Good negotiation skills
•The ability to generate ideas
•The ability to prioritize and manage several different tasks at once
•Ability to work full-time and reliably commute to the office
•0-3 years of relevant work experience (especially working with customers; restaurant and retail experience is a major plus!)
