The Toronto Zoo is currently recruiting seasonal staff for the 2023 Peak Season to work in our Guest Operations Branch. We are looking for friendly, outgoing and energetic people who enjoy interacting with guests and providing fun and exciting experiences in the safest manner possible. As an Adventure & Attractions attendant, our guests will appreciate your exceptional service standards, encouraging attitude and attention to safety while you operate the various rides at The Toronto Zoo.

HOURS OF WORK: Up to 40 hours per week
PAY RATE: $15.50
SCHEDULE/DURATION: Must be able to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays, up to and including Thanksgiving.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide compelling, entertaining and safe experiences on the various adventures and attractions at the Toronto Zoo including the Conservation Carousel, Tundra Air, Gorilla Ropes Climb and Stroller and Wagon Rentals.
Follow safety standards and complete daily checks on the various adventures.
Be safety-minded, courteous, and able to demonstrate an appreciation for the importance of guest service.
Other duties related to the Guest Operations branch.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Outgoing and friendly personality and attitude.
Detail oriented, organized and focused on safety.
Strong customer service skills.
Good written/oral communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills, able to work well with others in a team environment.
Must be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job.
Full G License in good standing an asset.
Must be available to work weekends, shifts and holidays.
Must be available to work a total of 5 days per week in the Zoo’s peak season (May – September).
Police Reference Check is required (upon offer of employment).
